Isabelle Paradis
Osteopath
I am an osteopath, graduated from the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques (CEO) in Montreal in 2007. The CEO is the first school of osteopathic education in Canada. Before starting my career in osteopathy, I worked in the field of physiotherapy.Born in the United States, osteopathy is a healthcare approach founded on the meticulous study of the biomechanical interactions between the body’s different structures. To this day, it remains a recognized medical specialty in the United States. Its founder, Dr. Andrew Taylor Still — physician, surgeon, and researcher — was interested not only in biomechanics and physiology, but also in the expression of life intrinsically connected to the human body. He viewed the body as an intelligent system endowed with a natural capacity for self-regulation and healing. Traditional osteopathy therefore considers the body, mind, and spirit as an inseparable whole, central to the expression of health.Pour la version française, veuillez cliquer sur le troisième icône en bas à gauche de la page.

Work
Ongoing research has always been central to my practice. For the past 20 years, I have collaborated with integrative physicians and scientific researchers in Canada, the United States, France, and Russia.I have also pursued advanced study in cranial trauma, including concussions, as well as spinal trauma. Athletes are frequently referred to me for specialized osteopathic treatment related to injuries affecting the central nervous system, resulting from falls or other trauma associated with their sport. These accumulated past traumas are often what slow the recovery of a more recent musculoskeletal injury. In recent years, I have also devoted particular attention to the condition and care of women athletes.Infants also benefit greatly from these advanced techniques aimed at releasing cranial tension after birth. In the past, I have also participated in births both in birthing centres and in hospital settings.Over the years, this approach has led me to work with a diverse clientele at different stages of life and in a wide range of care contexts, including:-professional and amateur athletes (acute, chronic, pre-operative, and post-operative conditions)
-women, men, and LGBTQ+ individuals
-pregnant women
-children
-infants, preterm infants.
About
Guided by this particular sensitivity toward human connection, I became involved in humanitarian missions in South America, notably in remote regions alongside a native community. These experiences profoundly enriched both my practice and my understanding of care and human support.
Upon returning, driven by the desire to contribute to my community, I offered free osteopathic care to women living with addiction-related challenges, as well as to their families, in Montreal’s Villeray neighbourhood. My curiosity to understand the root causes of our health challenges has led me to valuable clinical collaborations beyond the field of osteopathy. For about ten years, I conducted research and collaborations with agronomists and stakeholders in the agri-food sector, focusing on the links and impacts of environmental toxicity (industrial and agricultural), grain hybridization, lactose (and casein), and GMOs on digestive and neurological health. At the same time, driven by the same questions regarding the impact of food and environmental toxicity, I had the opportunity to explore other medical approaches internationally with a pediatric patient population, preterm infants, children with autism and neurological disorders. These years of clinical collaboration with Dr. Sandro Marra (CAN) and Dr. Andrew Levinson (USA) provided me with a different perspective on possible medical solutions for these conditions.Following these professional collaborations, I carried out six years of research and development with practitioners using the approach of Dr. Bruno Donatini (FR). We studied the impact of intestinal dysbiosis on nutritional absorption, systemic inflammation, cognitive disorders, neurodegenerative or autoimmune diseases, as well as chronic pain presenting as musculoskeletal in nature.Since 2024, having observed a decline in the natural self-regulatory capacity of the immune system, a deterioration in the overall health of Western populations, and a rise in rapidly developing cancers, I have begun collaborating with Dr. Vladimir Ribyakov (RUS) on the use of nanoparticulate bovine colostrum preparations. This cooperation is part of a broader reflection on the interactions between the immune system, physiological regulation, and toxicity.
